All School Announcements


ORLA Traffic and Crosswalks--The speed limit on Boulevard Rd is 25 miles an hour and 20 miles an hour from 8:15-9:15 and from 3-4PM. Please be alert while you drive as we have many more students walking to school.   The City of Olympia will be installing orange flags, and later this fall there will be flashing lights at the crosswalk on 15th and Boulevard. 


Montessori Preschool Pick-Up Changes.  Starting on Monday, September 23rd preschoolers will now be picked up at the front of the school and released from the gym.  Parents can park and come to the gym at noon or use the loading area to pick students.

hConnect/MAST -- Thursday, September 26th from 6-7:00PM

Please join us for Curriculum Night.  Middle and High school teachers will have the opportunity to meet with parents and share classroom expectations, how to access assignments and grading, and how best to communicate with them in addition to class information.

Montessori Curriculum Night --Thursday, September 26th from 6-7:30PM

Please join us for Curriculum Night from 6-7:30PM.  Each teacher will be presenting an overview of what will be taught this school year.  The schedule for the night is below.

ASB Sponsored Events and Fundraisers

FREE used clothing bizarre September 23rd- 26th in the 2nd Floor Balcony.

Leadership/ASB used book sale on Tuesday October 15th 3-6pm


Picture Day - October 9th from 8:30-1:30 - All students are able to have their pictures taken even if parents are not buying pictures.  All students 12 and older in MAST and hConnect will need to have a picture taken for 2019-20 school year. The primary guardian for hConnect students also need pictures for badges to be onsite.

Attendance Matters- All students need to be on time and in class every day.  If your student is absent please call the 24 hour attendance line at 360-597-7773.


Parking lot reminders: Please drive SLOWLY through the drop-off lane.  Also, be kind to the neighbors, do not block or park in neighboring residents driveways. 


ORLA is a closed campus: Parents please remind your students that if they are not scheduled into a class they must be picked up by a parent or guardian, or they must be in the CRC. Students may not leave campus during their breaks.

hConnect Required Parent Meetings-- Join the office staff in the commons to go over the ORLA requirements for parents for the school year. Choose 1 meeting to attend:

Empower Hours--Every Friday students who need help can come to Empower Hours and receive additional help in ELA/Social Studies and Math/Science.

Parents as a reminder: students should not be unsupervised on the playground, empty rooms, corner halls or outdoor spaces! Thank you for helping reinforce this required behavior. 


MAST


School Conferences for MAST are Friday October 18th and 25th.  Students will NOT have school on those Friday’s.  MAST students have full days of school on October 22-24 and busing home will NOT be available on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.


Montessori

Student Conference week October 22-25.  School ends at 12PM each day.  Conferences will be scheduled through Skyward.  More information will be sent home in the next couple of weeks.
