Mental Health Awareness Month
May is Mental Health Awareness Month—a time to reduce stigma, support one another, and increase understanding of mental health. Mental health is part of daily life and affects how we think, feel, and connect with others. This month is a reminder that no one is alone.
We are highlighting HearMeWA, a free, 24/7 support line for young Washingtonians up to age 25, created by the Washington State Attorney General’s Office. HearMeWA is antiracist, trauma-informed, and youth-centered. It offers a place for youth to talk through concerns—big or small—and connect with support.
The OSD Social Work team will be promoting Mental Health Awareness throughout May. Thank you to OEF for the grant supporting this work.
